So on team Russia, the girl who had the worst Olympics is a somewhat tie between Anastasia Grishina and Viktoria Komova, Grishina fell on floor exercise in team finals, costing her team the gold, but if you noticed, Komova was entered in individual event finals. Komova was devastated about the team finals, I thought that took a toll on her performance in the all-around finals, Komova was out of element on her vault, her first event, and her floor exercise, her last event, and Douglas was right on, thats why Komova was beat in the All-Around, even though she qualified as the number one gymnast. And then Komova also qualified into the uneven bars final, where she had mistakes on the bars and ended up in fifth place, losing the gold medal that she was oh so expected to take home t Russia, to her teammate Aliya Mustafina. And honestly? I think Mustafina deserved it more. Also, she placed in last place in the Balance Beam Finals, despite a second place finish in qualifications. She tanked because she had a lot of wobbles, and one huge fall on an Arabian front, and a fall on her dismount. So, Komova had a rather horrible Balance Beam and Bars Finals, and not to mention a horrible Olympics, Komova only had two medals when she walked away from London, and none were gold, just two silvers, and she was not happy, she should have been, but she wasn't. She wanted gold more than anything, she wanted to be at the top of the podium, but Americans beat her both times, LOL! But you know what?! Komova should be happy, because she has too Olympic silvers! Sure she didn't win gold, but that is the way that the cookie crumbles.
P.S.: Komova also tried qualifying for the event finals on floor, but placed 28th because of a shaky routine, go figure . She also tried qualifying for the vault finals at the Test Event, but failed when she landed butt-first on the vaulting finals, and received a BIG FAT ZERO!!!!!! Maybe next time Komova... No, you know what? Probably not, because in practice Komova dislocated her shoulder on a double layout with 1/2 a twist. (An easy skill for an experienced gymnast
