Dismount Chat: What I think of the Swing-Leg Type Dismount

     I think the swing leg dismount is rare in gymnastics these days. And truth be told? It's sad, just because the judges cut back on artistry these last few years does NOT mean that you can decrease your difficulty by 1/10 to put a little ounce of artistry in! The swing leg type dismounts are graceful, and beautiful. They require artistry, as well as grace. I love it when gymnasts stand at the center of the beam and swing their leg up, it really illustrates their flexibility, and adds  any amount of twists, but you only really see that in collegiate gymnastics. not so much in elite, or even Junior Elite. Who wants to bring back the swing leg dismount? Then comment below.
