Kyla Ross: Senior Dominant
So in 2012, Kyla Ross was a first year senior. We first saw her at the Classic, where she had a somewhat rocky first competition. We next saw Kyla when she competed at Nationals, placing 4th in the all around, not to shabby for a new-year senior. She also got the silver medal on her best event, bars. She also placed fourth on beam and fifth on floor. But didn't place at all in the vault, because vault was not her best event. But at trials, Kyla did make the Olympic Team, when she was a first year senior. Which was amazing for a gymnast of her status, if you look at the rest of the Olympic Team: Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, and McKayla Maroney, who had already been seniors for at least one year (With Aly starting a year earlier in 2010) Kyla was the little one on the team, she was mentored by Aly, most of all because she was a 2010 and 2011 Worlds Team Member. Kyla did not compete the all around, but just floor, beam and bars. After winning the gold medal for USA along with her team, she chilled for awhile, that is until the competition season started she came back and earned a whole wall of silver (Most of them silver, but they are still medals) Kyla had a great first year senior debut, making an Olympic Team. And I am very excited to see what is to come for this young athlete.

Kyla Ross: A Whole New Gymnast
So, on only her 1st year on the senior scene, Kyla Ross made the Olympic Team, which was huge, and she was a part of the gold medal effort for the USA. But, Kyla was not as big of part as she wanted to be. She wanted to be an all-arounder for the USA team, but obviously didn't have enough experience to do so, only allowing her to compete on bars and beam, her strongest events. But since 2012, Kyla has been in the all-around hunt, she placed second at Nationals to the dominant Simone Biles, and then got into the all-around competition at World Championships, and placed second, as well as placing second on nearly all the other events. This winning medals in almost every event thing is foreign territory for Kyla, she never won anything in terms of single event medals, and now she has three! I hope to see Kyla continuing to climb the mountain of gymnastics, and I hope she has a very successful expedition.

Kyla Ross: Living in the Hall of Fame
Kyla Ross, she is one of the two Fierce Five members who came back immediately. In 2011, she was not well known, just because she was a junior but in 2012, she exploded into the gymnastics scene. Marta loved her, she was always talking about her. No matter who interviewers were trying to talk about: Jordyn, Gabby, McKayla, Marta always directed the conversation back to Kyla. Even though Kyla did not qualify into any individual events, she helped the team win gold. The fact that she didn't qualify into any other events is why she came back, and she loved the sport. She wanted to experience another Olympics, and this time, she wanted to win more. Go Ky Ky!

The Fierce Five: Who's planning for Rio and Who is Not?
So, its 2014, its Sochi, the winter games, but for all those people who hate the winter games, and are hooked on gymnastics, its the halfway point between the Summer Games, the ones that actually matter! Anyway, two years ago, the Fierce Five won gold, and now, at the halfway point between the great 2012, and Rio 2016, we got to wonder: Are any of the Fierce Five planning for Rio? I would love to see them in Rio, winning team gold yet again, but who wants to return and who doesn't?
Jordyn Wieber: She wants to get into the All Around Finals.
Aly Raisman: Aly is an amazing gymnast, making the All-Around in 2012, finishing in 4th, losing to Mustafina, Dang It! But thats why she is coming back to Rio, to defend her floor gold and beam bronze, and to crack into the AA medals.
Gabrielle Douglas: She won the gold medal in London, she doesn't need to train anymore! All her dreams came true!
Kyla Ross: Like her best friend, McKayla Maroney, Kyla wants to return for the 2016 Games. She did contribute to team USA's gold medal finish. But, she did not make the All-Around or any other event, so that what she hopes to do in Rio.
McKayla Maroney: Maroney is back, we know that, she never quit. Mostly because she wanted to go to Rio to get redemption. She fell on her second vault, costing her the vault gold, and starting the world-wide-known look as "McKayla Maroney Not Impressed" But, in 2016 Mac wants to be impressed she wants that gold medal.
